PRESIDENT – Steve Sharkey, (1st VICE PRESIDENT – Joseph Keber, &
2nd VICE PRESIDENT Pat Trombetta were excused,) TREASURER – Joseph Cafaro, SECRETARY – Joseph Onuska

Steve Sharkey called the general meeting of the WTSBC to order at the Woodbridge Community Center at 1:39 PM, with an attendance of forty-nine active members and one inactive Honorary Member which is a quorum. Attendance sheet attached.0
Pledge of Allegiance: - Lou Algaze Led the pledge to the flag. Steve - Please remain standing for a moment of silence in remembrance of all our past members.
E-Board Roll Call - Joe O. – (Joseph Keber and Pat Trombetta excused) All other Officers are present.
Parliamentarian / Audit Committee Chairs - Steve announced that Bob Wardlow has accepted the position of Parliamentarian, and Phil Degliomini has accepted the position as Chair of the Audit Committee.
Greetings/Agenda - Steve welcomed the members and announced the Birthday and Anniversary lists for October. Happy Birthday was sung to Joe Cafaro by his adoring crowd of fans. We currently have ninety-seven active and ten inactive members. Room attendance for September averaged thirty-two on weekdays and fifteen on weekends. We are looking to do a drive by for Josie and Mike Villillo to celebrate their 75th anniversary and Mike’s 100th birthday.

By-Law Amendments – Steve

 Annual Dues Increase: Steve announced that the E-Board has determined that there needs to be a raise in the dues and recommends it should be from $60/yr. to $72/yr. The last time the dues were raised was 8 years ago in 2017 and the prices of club supplies, maintenance and costs in general have gone up. The proposal was made by Steve Sharkey and passed unanimously by the forty-seven members present. The amendment will take effect January 1, 2026.

 Increase in Mandatory Monthly Meeting attendance: The E-Board has recommended an increase in the number of meetings that members must attend from 3 to 4 meetings a year. The amendment to the By-Laws is required to be read a month before a vote can be taken. The amendment will be voted on at the November general meeting. Wayne read the amendment as it will be made if passed.

Presentations:

 Pin Awards – Nina Blackwell -: On October 7th Steve Jimenez had his fourth eight on the break against Bob Cedrone.

Secretary’s Report: Joe O.: Steve Sharkey made a request for a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the September 10th meeting. A motion made by Michael Baum, seconded by Rob Jenkins, and approved unanimously.

Treasurer's Report: - Joe Cafaro reported there is $1,273.61 in the account. Report Attached
Holiday Party Date – Joe C. – The Holiday Party is tentatively scheduled for 1/21/26 at Dominic’s Restaurant in Iselin from 1:00pm till 5:00pm. There will be door prizes, and a raffle. D.J. Mel will supply the entertainment. Deserts are appreciated.
 Mike DiGiovanni Memorial Food Bank Fundraiser Update: Wayne Collins talked about the fundraiser and all the good it does for the people of Woodbridge. All the food and funds raised go to the eleven local food banks. Lou Algaze added that several members of the WTSBC donate their time at the food bank, and they are always in need of more help. Anyone that wants to donate their time can see Lou for more information. The fundraiser will run till the end of October.

Tournaments/Events:
1. Tournament Committee Update – Wayne Collins announced the winners of the Founding Fathers Tournament. Report Attached
2. 9 Ball League, Season 12 Update – Week 2 is completed “Play it safe” is in first place one game ahead of a 3-way tie for second. The teams once again are very evenly matched, and it will be a tough season. Lou Algaze reminded the members that he and Ron Blackwell started the 9-ball league.
3. Founding Fathers Tournament Update – Joe O. - The winners will receive their awards at the next general meeting.
4. Members/Relative Tournament Results – Joe O. Shuja Choudri and his nephew Misbah Haque took first place after a grueling two game playoff against Joe Onuska and his daughter Kristen who placed second.
5. Travel Team League – 9/4/25 to 12/16/25 and 1/8/26 – 4/2/26 – John Borkowski reported that the Warriors won their last two games 9 to 3 each. Evelyn Mercado was not at the meeting. Rob Jenkins said that the Contender lost their last two games.
6. Halloween Costume Day, Steve – Friday October 31st. at 12:00pm all are welcome. Costumes optional.
7. Veterans Day Tournament – November 11th – Joe O - Sheets are on the club table in our room and will be collected on Nov.11th. The eight-ball tournament will be held on Nov. 11 at 9:30am all club veterans are welcome to play. The Tuesday 9-ball league games normally scheduled for that day will be moved to Wednesday Nov. 12th.
8. Triple Play Tournament – November 19th – Joe O. - Sheets are on the club table in our room and will be collected on Nov.12th. The games start promptly at 9:30am, please come early for practice. Steve acknowledged Duke French (in the audience) who initiated the triple play tournament in the club.
9. Toy Drive Extravaganza – Steve reminded the membership that we can use their help. Please donate unwrapped toys, gift cards, or cash.

Committee Updates:

 Nomination Committee – Steve announced that John DiNapoli will be sending out an e-mail to the membership regarding the upcoming E-Board election. Informing you that the current E-Board is seeking re-election and if you want to be nominated for any position on the board you need to be a dues paying member in good standing for 3 years and you can contact John DiNapoli before November 12th as to which office you would like to run.
 Membership/Orientation – Steve welcomed new member Dipak Chawhan to the club.
 Fellowship – John Borkowski - No Report.
 Room Maintenance/Supplies – Steve Jimenez & Tom McHale & Bob Cedrone - No Report.
 Water/Soda Supply – Angel Rodriquez/Peter Aleo - Angel Rodriguez turned in $100.00 from water and soda sales.
Hospitality – Steve thanked Lou Algaze and Tom McHale for providing the refreshments at the meeting, and Gary Lazure for running the 50/50.
 Audit – Phil Degliomini/Tom McHale - No Report.
 Club Apparel – Bob Jenkins/Johannah Calamusa – Rob reported that all orders are filled and up to date.
 By-Laws – Wayne Collins – Vote next month on mandatory meeting rule.
 Ethics – Wayne Collins - No Report.
 Captains – Joe O. - Thanked Phil Degliomini for using his auditing skills during the captain’s committee vote on Tuesday. Joe Keber was elected Chair of the captains committee by the captains. - No other Report.
 Website – Ron Blackwell – Website is currently up to date.
